Frequently Asked Questions

What is ADHD coaching?

As an ADHD coach, I use a collaborative process and an ADHD lens to help my clients gain actionable insights as they work toward their goals. Together, we can focus on goals directly related to executive functioning (e.g., cultivating organizational skills, improving study habits, etc.) or we can hone in goals that are a little broader in scope (e.g., maintaining fulfilling friendships, establishing a rewarding career, etc.). You set our priorities!

Ultimately, ADHD coaching has shown to be effective across age groups, with a recent review of research on ADHD coaching indicating that it “contributes positively to improved functioning in individuals with ADHD across the age span.”

What’s the difference between ADHD coaching and therapy?

ADHD coaching is not a replacement for therapy. ADHD coaching can be extremely helpful in advancing an ADHDer’s present-day goals and can often be a transformative experience. That said, coaching is not a suitable means of resolving a person’s past traumas or confronting any significant mental health challenges an individual may be experiencing. Therapy is a more appropriate option for these scenarios. Some ADHDers see both a therapist and a coach, incorporating a range of professionals into their care teams.

What makes you a strong ADHD coach?

In addition to having the lived experiences of a person with ADHD, I was trained and certified as an AACC by the ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA). I’m now working toward my certification from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I’m also a member of the ADHD Coaches Organization (ACO) and the Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA).

What types of clients do you work with?

I work with adults with ADHD, with a special focus on women, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and late-diagnosed individuals.

How much does ADHD coaching cost?

My clients pay for a month of coaching (which includes up to four hour-long sessions and four accountability check-ins) at a time. My typical rate is $480 for the month, with limited sliding scale spots available. Those who opt into sliding scale can pay anywhere from $300-480 for a month of coaching.

What is your availability like?

Generally, I’m available for sessions on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET, but if that time frame doesn’t work for you, I have limited flexibility outside of those hours/days. Let’s chat!
